Coming to the Museum

for 2012


Made In Muskegon - This exhibit will display some of the items that were manufactured in Muskegon from its beginnings until today. Examples include: "Michigan Washing Machine" (made of wood with a manualy operated agitator), Raggedy Anne Dolls (made by the "Non- Destructable Toy Co."), "Brunswick" phonograph, Snurfer, bowling items and billiard items, "Maximotor", Wire spool from ("Anaconda Wire & Cable"), "Clark" floor machine, "March" sprinkler, "Flip it" fishing reel.

These are just a few of the items we are planning for this exhibit. Do you have something that was made in Muskegon and should be on display for all of our visitors to see. Contact ead@muskegonheritage.org

Much of the newly renovated second floor of the museum will be used for this exhibit.


Continental Motors - This exhibit will have engines manufactured by "Continental Motors" including a 12 cylinder air cooled Patton Battle Tank engine, a 4 cylinder aircraft engine, a 4 cylinder marine engine and a 4 cylinder "Red Seal" stationery engine. We will also include photos of the buildings and company history.
